U.S. NAVY MEMORIAL

The U.S. Navy Memorial at Market Square in Washington, D.C., lies on a major pedestrian square along Pennsyvania Avenue which is dedicated to the United States Navy. The plaza includes a nautical map of the planet executed in two shades of granite, a history of the U.S. Navy in commemorative bronze panels, and sculpture. The Plaza has become an important outdoor gathering place in Washington.
